Summer Berry Picking 2011
Pictures from July-August, 2011 picking berries and enjoying the Willamette National Forest and foothills and ancient cedar, hemlock, Douglas fir, vine maple, alder, aspen, and ocean spray trees overhead, and the shrubs of salal, Oregon grape, huckleberries, salmon berries, wild raspberries, and black berries giving of the sweet foods. While plenty of water from the rivers and the occasional fish from the creek, and moonlight and stars at night.
McKenzie River Hike To Santiam Pass, Oregon
Back in June, I hiked the entire McKenzie River trail and an additional five miles to Santiam Pass to try and hike the Pacific Crest Trail going north to Mt. Hood. Well, the PCT was snowed out due to the wettest and snowiest spring in 117 years, so everything in 2011 seemed to be 4-6 weeks late. Great camping, hiking, a variety of weather, and developed outdoor skills.
Winter 2011 Strawberry Mountain Wilderness
Where is Strawberry Mountain Wilderness? Well, hike, hitchhike, or drive about 12 miles outside Prairie City, Oregon, down Strawberry Road (Grant County Road 60), and you will find where I camped for three weeks in March, 2011.
Bicycle With Cargo Trailer Trip Summer 2010
Off from Lacey, WA I departed on a hot, 98f day in mid August, 2010 to end up 35 days, over 350 miles, and the states of Washington and Oregon I explored. I traveled county roads, bike paths, in towns and small cities, over long stretches of Forest Service roads, and interstate highways. Exploring and discovering there is no vacant land not owned by government or corporate holding, real estate subdivisions, further resisting access echo of UN Agenda 21. Enjoy!
